The City of Oceanside was granted sovereign tide and submerged lands in trust in 1963. In 1979, the original grant and its amendments were repealed and replaced with a new granting statute for purposes of commerce, navigation fisheries, and other public purposes in conformance with a general use proposal adopted by the City and approved by the Commission.

The City is required by Section 6306 of the Public Resources Code to complete an annual financial statement and standardized reporting form for trust lands on or before December 31 of each year.

The City is required by Sections 3 and 4 of Chapter 846, Statutes of 1979, to submit a General Use Proposal by January 1, 1982, and a report of trust uses every five years thereafter, beginning September 30, 1984. The reports will be posted here when available.
