The City of Hermosa Beach was granted sovereign tide and submerged lands in trust in 1919 for the establishment, improvement, and conduct of a harbor, and to establish bulkheads or breakwaters to protect the lands and harbor, and for wharves, docks, piers, slips, quays, and other utilities, structures, and appliances necessary or convenient to promote or accommodate commerce and navigation and protect the land within the City.
The City is required by Section 6306 of the Public Resources Code to complete an annual financial statement and standardized reporting form for trust lands on or before December 31 of each year.
