Carmel Area Wastewater District

The Carmel Area Wastewater District was granted sovereign tide and submerged lands in trust in 1929 for sanitary facilities and other public uses not inconsistent with the terms of its grant. In 1953, the District transferred a portion of its grant back to the state.

Statute Description
Chapter 137, Statutes of 1929 An act granting certain overflowed lands, marsh lands, tidelands, and submerged lands of the State of California to the Carmel sanitary district.

The District is required by Section 6306 of the Public Resources Code to complete an annual financial statement and standardized reporting form for trust lands.
