On March 15, 2024, the Santa Barbara County Superior Court entered a Judgment in favor of the Commission in the matter of California State Lands Commission v. Signal Hill Service, Inc., et al., Case No. 19CV04295, awarding the Commission $299,445.72 in damages for its claims of breach of contract and trespass against its former lessee, Signal Hill Service, Inc. The Commission terminated Signal Hill’s lease at the June 28, 2019 Commission meeting.
