The Commission, as the lead agency under the California Environmental Quality Act, released a draft Mitigated Negative Declaration for public comment on June 19, 2026. The project includes remediation of two active gas pipelines in the bed of Threemile Slough, and removal of two inactive gas pipelines within the bed and banks of Threemile Slough. Public comments are due by Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Public comments can be sent electronically to CEQA.comments@slc.ca.gov.
