The County’s grant includes certain tide and submerged land in the Gallinas Canal, Richardson Bay, and the Bolinas Lagoon. Marin County was granted sovereign tide and submerged lands in Richardson Bay and the Gallinas Canal in trust in 1959. The grant was amended in 1969 and 1974, in part, to provide for additional trust uses. In 1975, the grant was amended to include an additional parcel of land near the Gallinas Canal to be limited to park, recreation or open space uses. In 1969, the grant to the Bolinas Harbor District was transferred to the County for the use of a harbor, transportation and utility facilities and betterments, parks and other recreational facilities, and for the establishment of certain other marine uses subject to the prior approval of the Fish and Game Commission.

The County is required by Section 6306 of the Public Resources Code to complete an annual financial statement and standardized reporting form for trust lands on or before December 31 of each year.
