Platform Holly
On January 22, staff released a Notice of Preparation to prepare a draft Environmental Impact Report for the Platform Holly Decommissioning Project. The public comment period closed on March 6, 2026. Staff scheduled two hybrid (in-person and via Zoom) scoping meetings to receive public comment on the Notice of Preparation. Staff held the scoping meetings on February 19 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Goleta City Hall.

Rincon Island
On November 7, 2025, the Commission, as lead agency under the California Environmental Quality Act, adopted an Addendum to the Final EIR for the Rincon Phase 2 Decommissioning Project (Certified on August 29, 2024). The Commission also authorized staff to solicit for contractors to implement the Rincon Decommissioning Project.
