Proposed Sale of School Land in San Benito County

At its August 25, 2026 meeting, the Commission will consider authorizing the issuance of a patent to a private individual for state-owned school land in San Benito County. This action is subject to applicable statutory and constitutional reservations. The Commission will also consider authorizing its Executive Officer to execute a purchase agreement and documents necessary to complete the transaction. The land sale will generate $1 million in revenue for the School Land Bank Fund, which is administered by the Commission.
