Jan 16, 2026 | CEQA, Content Types, New-Current, News

The Commission, as a lead agency under the California Environmental Quality Act, has released a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the San Francisco Bay and Delta Sand Mining Project. The Final SEIR includes comments and responses to comments received on the Draft SEIR document. The SEIR supplements the environmental analysis in the San Francisco Bay and Delta Sand Mining Project Environmental Impact Report (certified on October 19, 2012).

The Commission is scheduled to review, consider, and receive public comment on certification of the Final SEIR and, if the Final SEIR is certified, take action on the Revised Project at its next scheduled meeting on February 9, 2026, in Sacramento.
