Environmental Review
The State Lands Commission requires all appropriate environmental reviews for projects proposed on lands within its jurisdiction. Such environmental reviews include, but are not limited to, those required pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and state and local laws.
Examples of areas of environmental concern can be found by using the following sources:*
- California Natural Diversity Database
- Biogeographic Information and Observation System
- Protected Areas and Energy Development (*Google Earth is required*)
*These sources provide information that is illustrative of the issues renewable energy projects can raise on state lands.
